AuthorityOS — Client Onboarding
Your story is your most powerful piece of content.
This intake is how I get to know you — really know you — so I can script your most effective About Me video and build a content system that sounds like you.
Take your time with these answers. At least 45 minutes. The more specific and honest you are, the more personal and compelling your content becomes. There are no wrong answers.
Before we start
Let's make sure I know who this is from.
This goes directly to Wil. No one else sees it.
Question 1 of 13
What is your profession?
What do you do, and how do you currently describe it? Don't overthink it — just write how you'd say it to someone you just met.
Aim for at least 2–3 sentences.
Question 2 of 13
Who is your dream client, customer, or follower?
Who do you most want to connect with through your content? Be specific — describe a real type of person, not just a demographic.
The more specific, the better. What do they struggle with? What do they want?
Question 3 of 13
What inspires you? What makes you feel alive?
Not what you think sounds good — what actually lights you up. What could you talk about for hours without being asked?
This is where your best content comes from. Be honest.
Question 4 of 13
What is your mission statement and core values?
What is your brand or business here to do in the world? What do you stand for — and what won't you compromise on?
Your values shape your voice. List at least 3.
Question 5 of 13
Walk me through your journey to where you are now.
At least 3 turning points — career and passion. If you left the 9-to-5 world, what led to that? What were the pivotal moments that shaped who you are professionally?
This is the foundation of your About Me video. Take your time here.
Question 6 of 13
What did you struggle with when you were younger that you've since mastered?
At least three things — from your teens or early twenties. These don't have to be dramatic. They just need to be real. The things you fought through that your audience is probably still fighting through.
The struggles you've overcome are the most powerful content you have.
Question 7 of 13
If you were a podcast guest, what personal stories would you tell?
The stuff you'd share if the host gave you the floor and said "tell us something real." Not your pitch — your stories. The moments that made you who you are.
Think: what have you said in casual conversation that made someone lean in?
Question 8 of 13
What are you most proud of that your business achieves?
Not revenue. Not followers. The actual thing your work does for people — the change you create, the problem you solve, the moment someone realizes something because of you.
Be specific. Give an example if you can.
Question 9 of 13
If a book were written about your life, what would the main character's struggles be?
The internal battles, the doubt, the years before it clicked. The parts that would make a reader think "I've felt exactly that."
This is your humanity on the page. Don't sanitize it.
Question 10 of 13
How are your specific struggles universal?
Your story is yours — but what can your audience relate to even though they didn't live it? What's the feeling underneath the details that is completely human?
This is what turns your story into content that stops the scroll.
Question 11 of 13
What are you uniquely great at that very few others offer?
The thing that people keep coming back to you specifically for. The reason a client would choose you over someone with a similar offer. What do you do that most people in your space can't or don't?
This becomes your positioning. Be honest, not modest.
Question 12 of 13
What do you want your legacy to be?
When you're gone, what do you want people to say about you? What do you want to have built, changed, or left behind? This isn't about ego — it's about purpose.
Your legacy shapes every content decision you make.
Last question — 13 of 13
How often do people say your content spoke directly to them?
How often does someone DM you, comment, or tell you in person — "I felt like you were talking to me." What do they say? What posts triggered it? What does that feedback feel like?
This tells me exactly what kind of content you should make more of.
